At a time when our industry is frantically racing in the direction of ever-larger auction events where hundreds upon hundreds (and often thousands upon thousands) of competing lots are now getting regularly crammed into larger and larger sales spread over more and more days to cover larger and larger fixed overhead costs, we have decided to swim as fast as we can in the opposite direction. Not only we will continue creating the memorable, high quality, concentrated small format sales you are used to receiving from us, but going forward, our sales will become even smaller, more focused and much more frequent than they have been in the past.

Beginning with this auction, we have changed the frequency of our Premier sales from a semi-annual basis to a new format of running smaller, much more frequent auctions. This will enable us to offer larger, higher quality catalog images than in the past and will give our consignors the opportunity for a much quicker turn-around on their items. Going forward, we are planning for our Premier sales to include from between 125 - 150 lots. This will allow each and every item to receive the proper attention and prominence they deserve and not get lost in a crowded forest of competing items. We hope you like our new format and we welcome your comments and input.
